How My feed ranking works
My feed uses simple published rules, not a black box. It only uses fields that exist in our call data and the profile you enter. Every point is shown on the card as a “why this matches” chip, so you can always see why a call is where it is. Nothing is inferred: if a call doesn't state something, no rule fires.
| Rule | Points | Chip |
|---|---|---|
| Each profile field found in the call's field tags | +15 each, max +30 | Field: materials |
| Each keyword found as a whole word in the title, description or who-should-apply text | +10 each, max +20 | Keyword: “x-ray” |
| Any of your scheme types in the call's scheme tags | +15 | Scheme: instrument / beamtime |
| Your career stage (or SME/company organisation) matches the call's career-stage tag | +10 | Stage: early-career |
| Eligibility from your country, nationality, stage and organisation: Eligible / Maybe | +20 / +8 | Eligible / Maybe badge |
| Likely not eligible | left out (shown behind a toggle) | Likely not eligible badge |
| Funder on your follow list | +10 | Followed funder: DFG |
| Next deadline within 60 days (a tiebreak, not a driver) | +5 | Closes within 60 days |
| The call states an explicit EUR amount outside your budget range | −10 (never excludes) | Budget may not fit |
| Flagged for review by us | 0 (flag shown) | needs review |
- Scores are clamped to 0–100. Calls scoring below 25 are listed under “Other open calls”.
- Left out: calls you hid, funders you hid, and calls whose deadlines have passed.
- Order: score, then nearest deadline (rolling calls last), then title.
- Variety: at most 3 calls of one scheme type (e.g. beamtime) in your top 8; the rest follow below.
- Budget: only explicit EUR figures are compared, and other currencies are never converted.
- “New” means the call opened after your previous visit.
- Eligibility is guidance from the published rules, not a decision. Always confirm with the funder.
